Customs Clearance And Delivery

Customs clearance is the act or process of getting permission from the associated government agency to either move goods out of a country (export) or bring goods into the country (import). We can also define customs clearance as a document that the customs authority issues to a shipper

It is the chain of activities that take place after cargo has been discharged at the Cargo Freight Station (CFS) or Terminals of Land, Sea or Air Ports and processed through customs so they can enter the importing country.

Our customs agents/brokers act on behalf of our shippers/importers/clients by preparing the required documentation. Depending on the type of goods that is imported, we may also be required to apply, inform, submit and receive documentation to and from the associated regulatory bodies as part of the clearing process.

The Clearing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) may entail:

  • Getting the required/relevant MDA certificates/permits
  • Getting Shipping Lines Releases,
  • passing the associated bills of entry (BOE),
  • payment of import duties,
  • going through customs compliance
  • Customs Examination/Inspection of Cargo (if need be)
  • Complete clearance
  • Take delivery for clients (last mile)

Our agents are tech-savvy and are able to work across the different agency apps’ on and off the field via their mobile devices.
